ETL/CE Safety Standards
Waterlogic POU dispensers meet the stringent safety and environmental standards of North American and European regulators:
•ETL certified: North American certificate of conformity of facilities.
•CE certified: European marking that is a manufacturer’s declaration that the product complies with European Union health, safety and environmental protection legislation thus passing CE safety standards.
ISO9001 – Quality Management Systems
ISO 9001 is the internationally accepted standard for well managed organizations that have adopted the key quality management principles to its operations. Essentially it is a sign that the organization has in place the systems and processes to ensure a consistent quality of service. Fundamental elements of this standard are shaped around; customer focus, management control and decision making, involvement of main stakeholders and a culture of continuing improvement.
These two organizations set and regulate national and international safety standards:
• NSF/ANSI Standard 61: This is the standard for drinking water system components. It ensures no harmful contaminants could leach or migrate from the product/material into the drinking water.
• NSF/ANSI 55 Class A: This is the standard for ultraviolet microbiological water treatment systems. Waterlogic Firewall systems are certified as a Class A system (40,000 uwsec/cm2) designed to disinfect and/or remove microorganisms from contaminated water, including bacteria and viruses, to a safe level.
Waterlogic products have the Water Quality Association Gold Seal of approval. Their Gold Seal means a cooler is proven to deliver cleaner, safer water and shows the cooler is safe to use and performs as advertised.
Waterlogic has the approval of the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) in the UK. This tests for water quality and makes sure water dispenser materials and components meet rigorous safety requirements. WRAS aims to prevent waste, undue consumption, misuse, erroneous measurement or contamination of water by developing and enforcing national and international standards.
